The 4th M-17 Scow Midwinter Regatta
24 November 2008
Once again, LESC will provide an extremely competitive venue for sailors. After racing, this year competitors can learn what the leaders experienced in post-race press conference. We will have the top three competitors of the day discuss everything from rig tension to strategy with a short Q&A period while everyone enjoys after sailing refreshments.
Of course we are going to make this year even better and we are working on a few surprises. One thing I do know is that LESC is not short on southern hospitality and we cordially invite all M-17 sailors and their families to come join the fun!
David Leather, a member of LESC, is in the business of leasing vacation homes to visitors. He wanted me to include the following invitation in this article:
Eustis has many great benefits to offer all US sailors (i.e. Orlando, Lake Eustis Sailing Club, Disney, M-17 Midwinter Regatta, and Seaworld). Are you feeling guilty about coming to the Midwinter’s & having to leave your family behind in the snow and ice? Well, here is a solution. Bring the family & friends, let them stay in a vacation home & rest in the 80-degree temps by the pool whilst you go sailingin thefourth M-17 Scow Midwinter Regatta!!
Hayes Vacation Homes will make available suitable homes (from 3 beds to 6 beds) for the families of anyone entering the Midwinter Regatta. The minimum stay is four nights. The regatta discount will be $100 off the total price of the homes which start at $109 plus tax per night, for a three-bedroom home with private pool. You can see the homes at www.hayesvacationrentals.com.
Contact Hayes vacation homes direct & quote your sail number as a code for the discount.
Why are we doing this? To make the fourth M-17 Midwinter Regatta the premier event of the sailing year!
Thanks everyone. We hope to see you in March!
